Sure, it’s a reality that you had nothing to do with your ancestors’ escaping all those truncating events. And sure, it’s a bit puzzling that some of your contemporaries have chosen to do their own truncating through suicide. But surely, also, you have cause to rejoice in your living. Congratulations!
