LA Times
I’ll let the Times put it in their own words: “A convicted felon and adjudicated sex abuser was elected president — history made! — and ever since has worked tirelessly and diligently to establish himself as the nation’s first monarch, and a fabulously remunerated one at that.”
Ah! California, where the streets are paved with gold, where people—like the LA editorialists— prefer higher taxes, alien criminal activity, the Democrat party, and where the riots are peaceful, where you will eventually have to trade in your internal combustion vehicle for a battery one—but will be told not to charge it during brownouts— where you will not have water in your fire hydrants, and where your governor can shut down businesses like restaurants unless he wants to go to a restaurant, and where the governor can leisurely sip wine while a riot occurs in LA; from that perspective Mark Z. Barabak has written that this is a dire year. He does acknowledge that there have been equally trying times like those in WWII—great analogy, Mark.
From the perspective of a non-Californian, I write that things aren’t as bad as they might have been under either a continued Biden or Harris Administration. And though Mark admits that “As for the loyal opposition, Democrats are in bad odor with voters and even many of their own partisans after Joe Biden’s handlers gaslighted the public on the frailty and declining faculties of the octogenarian president,” he fails to acknowledge that Biden wasn’t convicted of anything because his Justice Department ignored his obvious bribery schemes and illegal hoarding of classified documents.
Whoa, Mark. You’re a political commentator. Did at any time during the Biden presidency you see that things were amiss? “Gaslighted”? Were you so blinded by your Democrat leanings that you could not observe those “declining faculties”? Were you so myopic that you missed seeing the ramifications of the catastrophic Afghan withdrawal, the feckless handling of America’s sworn enemies, and the open border over which Cartels trafficked drugs and people?
Mark, 2025 isn’t as bad as you think. But, hey, if you don’t want that tax break Trump finagled, feel free to send the extra cash to a foreign country for transgender operations.
